The Joy Of Small Pleasures : In my personal opinion, In life we are always focused on the big pleasures….Becoming rich, Buying an house, Buying a car, Getting ahead in career. In this process we lose sight of the small pleasures in life ….Playing with your kid on the floor, Taking Stroll in the park, Going for Morning Walk, Watching a nice movie, Calling up a relative or friend, Volunteering for an activity, Reading a Good book, Doing Yoga. The question really is how to identify the small pleasures…Draw a 4-Blocker of the Pleasure derived vs Effort. Fill in the activities inside the block based on the effort required and the pleasure derived. Then Focus on the activities that fall in the Top Left block High on Pleasure , Low on Effort If you do an analysis, the big pleasures are mostly activities with the future focus.
