What chance has made yours is not really yours!

Seneca , Letters from a Stoic

 I am living in the mercy of favors of fortune

Lady luck smiled upon me and has given me - Money, Position , Health ! 

But all these can be taken away!

I fantasize that I hold them in my grasp - 

I got them by my hardwork, my willpower etc., 

maybe I did all of above

but it is also primarily that luck favored upon me!

I need to have a stable mind that tells me -

Failure is Fickle!

So i need to learn to  lead a life of "voluntary poverty " as below -

"Eat merely to overcome hunger

 Drink merely to quench thirst

 Dress merely to keep out cold

 House merely against personal discomfort! "

Everything else is superfluity!
