based on Tim Ferriss Blog on the book : Siddhartha by Herman Hesse
Siddhartha : " I can think, I can wait, I can fast"
Merchant : " of what use are they? "
Siddhartha :"It is of great value , Sir.
If a man has nothing to eat,
fasting is the most intelligent thing he can do.
If for instance, Siddhartha had not learned to fast
he would have to seek some kind of work
either with you or else whre
for hunger would have driven him
But as it is : Siddhartha can wait calmly.
he is not impatient. he is not in need.
he can ward-off hunger for a long time and laugh at it!
Tim Ferriss Notes:
I can Think : Have guard rails for decision-making
I can Wait : Being able to play the long-game
I can Fast : Withstand difficulties and be resilient
My Notes:
I can Think :using Pen and Paper
I can Wait : Play the Infinite game!
I can Fast : by not craving and consuming!
