The Vacationing businessman stared at the sea thinking about the lunch. A lone fisherman with a small boat laden with large yellow finned tuna fishes docked nearby. “That’s a great catch” said the tourist how long did it take you? Not so long replied the fisherman. What do you do with rest of your time? Fisher man replied “Sleep late. Fish a little , Play with mu children, have lunch , then siesta stroll into village each evening Dine well & play guitar-a full & rich life sir”
I think I could help you the visitor said. Spend more time fishing, buy a bigger boat, and make more money, then several boats until you have a fleet. Don’t sell the catch to the middle men, sell it directly to the processor, and eventually open your own company.
But what then Sir? Asked fisherman You could move to a bigger city to run your expanding firm . you could float your company on the stock market. Make millions of dollars.
But What then Sir? Asked the fisherman/..that the best part, Businessman laughes. You could retire and go to a pretty village by the sea, sleep late, Fish a little, play with your kids, Take a Siesta, Stroll to village evenings, dine and play guitar with your friends.
Moral of the Story is “ happiness is not attained when you retire or when you earned enough. Its earned in everyday life by Keeping things Simple”.
