From the book : Surely you are joking Mr.Feynman! ...by Richard Feynman
Feynman tells his Sister:
I can't understand these things that Lee and Young are saying (in their research Paper). Its all so complicated.
to which his Sister responds :
No! What you mean is not that you can't understand; but you did'nt invent it
you did not figure it your own way from hearing the clue;
What you should do is imagine you're a student again - and take this paper upstairs
and read every line of it , and check the equations -
then you'll understand it very easily!
My notes:
Oh! wow!
Even Feynman, the noble-prize winning scientist does not understand many things!
So who am I ? if I don't understand, its natural - I don't need to freak out -
rather Imagine that I am a student again - and get back to the basics : do the calculations myself and seek to understand it!
