A Fool is always getting ready to live - Epicurus
Seneca - Letters from a Stoic - Pg 18
Fool's thought :
I will be happy when
-I have so much money
-I have attained such and such position
- I gain so much fame
-I possess such a car
- I possess such a big house
-I have xxxx
-I have yyyy
that list goes on and on and on...
If you are a (wo)man of wisdom,,,this moment is
everything...
How do i spend this moment, this hour, this day ...
is everything!
Seneca Says : " Fool's life is empty of gratitude and
full of ears; its whole course lies towards the future"
A man of gratitude - would live in the present -
full of gratitude and no fears - fear of want,
fear of sickness, fear of the stronger;
Seneca continues : conquer the fear of want by
- wanting nothing
-being content
-not counting the luck
