pg.30 : meditations marcus aurelius
Don't fall for the impression that
arise by the appearance of Things
Don't fall for
Assembly of herds
or nourishing food
neither clapping of hands
nor clapping of tongues
for these are things that separate and part!
and not worthy of being valued!
what then is worthy of being valued? you ask!
To give away chasing this worthless thing called fame
and to move me and restrain myself
in conformity with my rational faculty!
that is what is to be valued!
Don't fall for the impression that
arise by the appearance of Things
Don't fall for
Assembly of herds
or nourishing food
neither clapping of hands
nor clapping of tongues
for these are things that separate and part!
and not worthy of being valued!

To give away chasing this worthless thing called fame
and to move me and restrain myself
in conformity with my rational faculty!
that is what is to be valued!
