Cooking For Dummies - Kara Kozhambu (Hot South Indian Curry):

For everyone Mother's recipe is the best in the world (I am making this statement at a great risk of invoking my wife's ire). Here's the first of my mother's recipe that I have it in my Old Diary

STEP 1 : Get Ingredients:
Tamarind – size of a small lemon
Sambar Powder – ¾ Tea Spoon
Salt – ½ Tea Spoon
FENUGREEK (English)VENDHAYAM(Tamil),METHI(Hindi)  - ½ Tea Spoon
Vegetable (Okra/Brinjal) – Not a Must
Red Chilli – 2 pieces
Oil- 1 Spoon
Mustard – ¼ Teaspoon

STEP 2: Boil 3 Cups of Hot Water & add the Tamarind to it

STEP 3: Wait for 5 minutes and squeeze  the Tamarind in water to get the Tamarind Puree

STEP 4: Take a Container and pour the oil (Don’t forget to light the stove)

STEP 5: Add Fenugreek , Mustard & Red Chilli. Wait till mustard gives a “Pop” sound

STEP 6: Add the vegetable if you have and allow it to fry

STEP 7: Now Pour the Tamarind Puree to the container

STEP 8: Add the Sambar Powder & Salt

STEP 9: Allow the mixture to boil for 10 minutes. (Add water if the mixture is very concentrated)

STEP 10: Congratulations !!! ,you should be smelling the aroma of Sambar now.(don’t forget to switch of the stove)

PS : Even if you did not get the aroma, don’t worry it would not take long before your cooking skill will attract people from drawing room into the Kitchen

How to live on 24 hours a day

Arnold Bennett was a prolific author in the early 20th Century. I read his book "How to live on 24 hours a day" He explains his process in his book : that resulted him in being a prolific author: following are the learning: even in the busiest week, find 7-1/2 hours of time beyond the work ; Focus those 7-1/2 hours on thinking Time practice honest self-reflection using the below questions: what do want for yourself? what motivates you? what scares you? what embarrasses you? What are you proud of? What beliefs do you have that might be wrong? Are you caring for yourself or harsh with yourself? Authors Arnold Bennett

Repeat the Basics!

Writing  -  Read the "The Elements of Style - Strunk & White"  Its very simple : Figure out the basics of the given field : 5-6 principles And repeat them day after day Back to the Basics! If you do so , you will lead a life with chronic White-belt mentality 😅 leading to Humility  even if your performance is that of a Master Black-belt! If you do so,  you not only become an expert of the field you will stay as one!
